So I asked Brigg what he'd do if there were an intruder in our house...

Seriously, that's not your house is it?!
Yep, you are definately safe- especially because of the awesome sound effects.

no that is not my house. it's the embassy suites in st. paul, MN. and yes jody, i am laughing. and actually, i just watched it again and i laughed really hard again. it was funny. and i think i might let him do it in the middle of our fancy hotel in st. louis on tuesday.
and i'll probably laugh then, too.

I find it amusing that you all think letting your kids do this in public is an admirable thing. And to brag that you will let it happen again in a public place. I hope all the other paying customers in the motel got as big a kick out of it as some of you are. I guess Christians don't have to follow rules or use common courtesy for others as long as we can quote books and scripture it's all good right?

WOAH! I just noticed the last comment. Someone has a big chip on their shoulder about Christians practicing their ninja skills in public. Maybe they had a traumatizing experience with a Bible quoting ninja sometime in their childhood.

Nope, no chip! Just seeing a published lack of consideration for other paying customers and bragging about doing it again in another public place. Don't see a chip in that revelation.

well i was going to just let this go, but i think i need to chime in here. i'm sorry that you find me so rude. but unless you happened to be at that hotel when i recorded this 30 second clip, then i think you should refrain from commenting. i can understand if it were silent in the hotel and i was "allowing" my child to show me some fun kung foo moves with sound effects, but it was no where near quiet. happy hour and live music were heard throughout the hotel along with the constant sound of running water falls. and 200+ kids with the Boys and Girls Club group had just arrived and were running all over the place. it was a family friendly environment and we were having fun. i did nothing wrong and we had been in this hotel for 3 days already while my husband was attending classes. i don't know if you know me or not, but i am assuming you do not. because if you did, you would know that i am a very considerate person and would never be blatently rude.
also, if you knew my friendship with jody, you would know that we were teasing eachother.
just having some fun here. that's kinda what my blog is about. sorry you find is so disrespectful. if you'd like to talk to me further about your concerns, you can email me at burbackx2athotmaildotcom.

I personally think you should have been charging the hotel customers to be able to see such an entertaining performance. I have made much bigger scenes myself while in a public place and never thought anyone was being inconvenienced. Then again, I AM a Christian (but not sure what that has to do with it).

My husband is telling me to stay out of this fight...

and why Naomi does it have to be considered a "fight". You must live your life on the edge of defense all the time. That's kind of sad. I didn't sense in Cassie's response to me that she thought it was a fight. (correct me if I'm wrong Cassie). That's the first thing I notice too about some in this "group" that as long as everybody is agreeing and praising you are all good. If somebody says something to contest behavior it's always considered an attack or a fight.
Cassie..no I don't know you I happened along this site through others that I also comment on.
Perhaps I did take Jody's comment out of context as to that sounding like it's common practice to disturb others in public places.
Please don't always assume that people who contest are attacking. I think you can miss out on new friendships and conversations that way. Believe me I have been challenged on more than one occassion and after talking to that person more than once I have actually become friends with them and enjoy their bantering.

oh geez, since this is perhaps my fault...i better clarify.
I was joking. Teasing Cassie. Because that's what we do. She does it to me. I do it to her. And we can because we love each other.
And I do know her. She is respectful and considerate. Her kids are well behaved and happy. She would never purposely do anything to disturb anyone else.
So very sorry for being a bit sarcastic.
My bad.

Love all around.

Cassie said...

yes, love all around.
jody, you may still be sarcastic.
thank you.

see ok I learned now about how you guys interact with each other. Not that you owe me an explanation because I'm really a nobody just sitting out in here in space looking in.
Maybe I will use this as a topic for a paper. How personalities come out on the internet over differences of opinions, temperments, tones of posts etc.

Naomi Haverland said...

What will the title of the paper be?

caligrlbyheart said...

No title yet. I'm still mulling it over.

Naomi Haverland said...

I can't wait to read it.

now is that sarcasm or for real? Could be taken either way.
