Nalani's birthday snack day

We always love that Nalani's birthday falls around Halloween.
At preschool, the kids get to bring a special snack around their birthday.
So her special snack usually involves something related to halloween.
Today was Lani's day.
We prepared these this morning...

And pulled them out of the oven about 15 minutes before we headed out the door.
In case you can't tell, they are owls.
And they are pretty cute.
And very yummy!
And I've been told they are slightly more age-appropriate than "buried alive cupcakes" (go figure!)

And the best part was the Lani played a huge role in putting them together.
She was quite proud of her creation.

whatever angie!
the very successful, full time working mother and wife SHOULD be buying store-bought cookies!
there is nothing slacker-ish about what you do!
i bet they were just as yummy as these store-bought cresent rolls anyway!

I need the receipe...Im thinking we might try them tomorrow.

Oh, and Angie, I stay home part time and I just called someone and hired them to provide the snacks for Lauren's Halloween party next week. Now that is slacker!
