rambling on thursday...

busy busy busy.
so much going on, i am going to write in fragmented sentences.
willow is home.
she's doing pretty well.
potty training is going ok.
overnight is an issue, but other than that, we've only had 1 accident in the house.
and she's not quite 8 weeks yet!

my friend amy is in ethiopia picking up her daughter.
here she is with bosena the first day they met...

they are running into some road blocks, so if you could keep them all in your prayers, that would be great.
also, my friend tesi traveled to ethiopia yesterday.
isn't that strange that i have TWO friends in ethiopia at the same time picking up their children?

since my last garage sale was a flop, i having another saturday morning from 8-11.
3 hours.
then i'm DONE.
i just hate to go to all that work for thunderstorms and 5 customers to walk through!
we're giving it one more shot.

brenda, chris, bode and boone are coming this weekend!!
CANNOT WAIT to meet boone and see the rest of them!
we'll celebrate bode's birthday on monday, too.

speaking of birthdays, brigg's is coming up on july 13.
i do love summer birthdays!
makes planning something so easy!

we tore out our upstairs bathtub and paul and i about killed ourselves getting a new one up there.
really, our doorways are apparently small for current bathtubs!
but during the process paul is trying to convince me that we need to get new flooring, too.
really?
i'm not convinced.
i just want to SELL this house.

dad has been teaching ayla the bones of the body.
last week she came into our room around 6am.
waaaaaaay too early for a summer day!
i told her to climb in bed with us.
she snuggled in and a rolled over.
my arm was kind of resting on her back.
she says, "MOM! Is that your HUMERUS in my back?"
yes ayla...yes it is.

i was going to go pick brigg up at baseball a couple days later and said, "C'mon Ayla, you're coming with me."
she says, "Mom...can i DRIVE?"
yes ayla...yes you can.

she's a 35 year old in a 2 year old's body.
we have some interesting years ahead of us.

lani is taking tennis lessons.
loves it.
brigg has a baseball game tonight.

we huddled in the basement yesterday after the like 6th tornado siren of the week went off and they reported a tornado on the ground in town....which was later reported as inaccurate.
tornado warning was all cleared and then our power went out for a couple hours.
all this severe weather makes it very difficult to plan anything.
especially say...a going away party this weekend.
which we are trying to do.
for 300 people.
yeah.
kind of stressful.
anybody have square hay bales?
how about big water jugs to hold lemonade?
or a large sun tea pitcher i can borrow?

please please PLEASE let the weather hold out for sunday night.
please.

no showings for...like...i don't know...EVER.
nuff said about that.

paul is going to his 20-year class reunion this weekend.
not sure how that's possible when you are only 25 years old.
but it must be. :)
brigg is going with him.
the girls are staying here with me.

that's it for this morning.
and i realize that's a lot.
thanks for listening.
