Kayaking

So baseball was cancelled.
And we refused to sit in the house.
Donna had come to watch Brigg play baseball.
She doesn't get here all too often and we didn't want to waste the day.
We had borrowed a kayak from a friend last week and still had it in our possession.
So kayaking it was...

It was 3 to a kayak.
Brigg wanted to be with me.
Partially because I'm the best kayaker on the planet...
and partially because I like to sing "Row Row Row Your Boat" in a round while kayaking.
Either way...it's fun. :)
And we got Ayla, too...for a while.

Then Ayla decided we were too much fun.
She couldn't take it.
She asked to switch boats.
We were happy to oblige.
Then Brigg and I took off and tried to whoop their butts in a kayak race.
Let's just say when we said we were done, we were still in the lead.
(maybe by only an inch or 2 though!)

As we were heading back in, Brigg decided to meditate a bit.
He thinks kayaking is relaxing...without Ayla on our kayak.

It was totally fun.
I recommend it for all families. :)
Not that my recommendation means squat.
But it's officially our new favorite family sport.
Who needs baseball??
Not me.
(well maybe a little baseball.)
