i've gotten several texts and emails asking if i'm alive.
and yes, i survived.
it was hard and hil-ly.
but i crossed the finish line after jogging at a very slow pace, 7 miles.
there were over 18,000 runners.
that's a lot.
it was crazy.
paul and i couldn't find eachother at the finish line. we finally miraculously met up at the car about 5 minutes apart. so we stopped for a celebratory beer on the way home.
it was great.
then we hit an after party with tons of great food and drink.
the kids played and played and i left a bit early with ayla.
because, well, she has taken up biting.
we're working on it.
ugh.
i would so much rather she was the bitee instead of the biter.
it was good.
paul had a great great run. he felt good.
i have this pulled calf muscle, but i made it through without it bothering me much.
he finished literally 22 minutes before me!
and he was smiling.
i didn't have the best run ever, but not the worst either, so that's good.
honestly, it's getting better. we are 5 weeks into our 16-week, half marathon training schedule. each week has gotten a little bit better.
so that's good.
i'm exhausted.
beyond exhausted.
it's going to be an early night around here...
