Today...

i loved today.
loved it.
sat around the table and leisurely drank coffee.
then we headed up up up to the mountains.
on our way we stopped here...

how cute is this place?
we talked about dowsers and "the gift".
we ate yummy sandwiches and laughed.

then we found ourselves here...

on the porch of jody's parents' cabin in the mountains.
drinking coffee and looking at this...

uh-mazing.
i literally cried.
because i love it here.
and how weird is this?!?
my aunt and uncle own property about 3 miles down the road.
paul and i used to camp there all the time when we lived in denver.
and i loved it then.
so coming here today made my tear up.
and feel home.
is that possible?
yes...yes it is. all felt right in my soul.
it was a great afternoon.
we saw sunshine and blue skies, rain, sleet and snow all in a matter of hours.
springtime in the rockies.
heavenly.

when we decided to head to colorado this weekend, we realized it was the same weekend as the amazing, talented NAOMI'S first ever solo art show.
how could we pass up an opportunity to surprise her?
remember the incredible painting she did for me last year?
well now she's totally famous.

and we got to see her in real life.
and her art is even more incredible in person.
and she is even more adorable in person.
see???

it was so fun to see her face when she realized who was standing in the building.
she was fairly shocked.
it was totally fun!!

an overall great day.
